Policies

GENERAL POLICIES 

  • A Registration fee of $35.00 and the first month's tuition is due upon registration, all payments thereafter will be due the first of each month, a $25.00 late fee will be added if payment is received after the 10th. 
  • Credit Card will automatically be charged with late fee if payment is not received by the 10th.  All families must fill out credit card authorization form, or one month security will be accessed.
  • Our yearly tuition is divided into 10 monthly payments. Tuition is the same regardless of the number of classes held in each particular month due to Holidays etc.  
  • Tuition can be made by cash, check, Visa, American Express, or MasterCard.
  • Please make checks payable to: MPAC 
  • A $36.00 return check fee will be charged to offset bank service charges, and must be paid in cash along with amount of the returned check. 
  • There will be no refunds or credits for absences. Make-up classes are available. Attendance is important! 
  • Absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. Please make every effort to have your child attend class. Please call the center if your child will be absent or tardy. 
  • Any cancelled classes due to severe weather will be made up. Please call the center for cancellations. If Howell Township schools are closed we will automatically be closed for inclimate weather.
  • Please label ALL personal items in permanent ink to cut down on lost items. If your child misplaces a belonging, please check the lost and found. The lost and found will be emptied monthly and will be donated to good will for unclaimed items. We are not responsible for lost items.  
  • Any classes with four or less students are subject to change. 
  • A $85.000 costume payment for each student for each class they take is due for the year performance by November 1st.  Costume balance may be accessed if in an combo class. 
  • Costume deposits are non-refundable. All orders are sent out prior to Christmas break to allow time for alterations and errors.  
  • If a child drops a class after the costumes have been ordered it is still your responsibility to pay for that costume.  
  • PLACEMENT class placement is carefully determined by our professional judgment. All children will be placed in classes accordingly. 
  • COMMUNICATION is a big factor at MPAC we like to make sure every family know the latest about what is going on. We do send items home with your children (please check their bags regularly, also a majority of our information is sent through the mail or by phone. We have a 24 hour answering service at 732 364-5200 if you have any questions, or email us at mpacdancers@aol.com. 

CLASS OBSERVATION POLICY 

  • It is our philosophy that the purpose of dance classes is to teach the students to dance, NOT put on a show. Even the quietest observers do distract the students. MPAC has closed circuit television so you can view classes in our waiting area. MPAC will occasionally have the television during classes. The close circuit television will be off for viewing for the company classes and the month of June. 

BRING A FRIEND TO DANCE  

  • In October MPAC offers a Bring a fiend to dance week, all visitors must fill out a form at the front desk for insurance purposes. Any students’ friend who signs up for dance will receive a special sign up bonus in their tuition the following month. 

CLASSROOM ATTIRE


  • No jewelry may be worn in class. 
  • No gum, food, or drinks permitted in the classroom. 
  • No shorts, t-shirts or baggy items permitted over dance wear. 
  • Hair must be worn in a bun for all classes and company rehearsals.
  • Students must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after class or an additional fee will be charged.
  • All dancers are required to wear the proper dress code for class.
